Chanel Quesnel has been involved in the creative arts industry since 2010.
Whilst earning her Bachelor of Arts at the University of the West Indies she worked as an actor with notable production companies in Trinidad
including
Raymond Choo Kong Productions and
Canboulay Productions.
After completing her residency with the National Theater Arts Company in Trinidad and Tobago, she went on to study and complete her Masters program at one of the top arts schools in the United Kingdom; Drama Center, University of the Arts London. Her training also took her to the prestigious Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute in Moscow, Russia where she trained in the Stanislavsky and Vakhtangov techniques.
Over the last six years, she has participated and facilitated various community outreach programs and workshops which involve the use of Creative Arts as a learning tool. Her work consists of collaborations with local groups: The National Theater Arts Company of Trinidad and Tobago, Teatro Journee and New Fire Festival. I’ve also had the pleasure of collaborating with International groups: Flute Theater & Kelly Hunter (MBE) and Pursued by a Bear & Trestle Arts Base. She has also concluded work with the Filmmakers Collaborative of Trinidad and Tobago as Education and Membership coordinator and also with the Trinidad+Tobago Film Festival 2020 as a programming coordinator.
Currently a Resident Player with the National Theater Arts Company of Trinidad and Tobago under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Chanel continues her diligent work as a performing artist locally, regionally and internationally.
